Nav Bar

The Nav Bar is the vertical set of Icons on the left side of the User Interface, it provides access to many General and Advanced functions and will change when you are working with Forms. Each Icon is identified below and additional details are linked.

Menu On and Off - Click to Hide the Nav Bar
Home Button - Click here to return to the Home Screen / Dashboard
Custom Button - Access to application specific functions, in this case Indoor Finders
Drawing Explorer - Find and View CAD Floor Plans
Admin Tools - Link Drawings, Import Data Add Subscriptions are for advanced Users
Nav Bar Editor - Redefine the Navigation System, this is often an Admin only task

Nav Bar for List Management

The left side Nav Bar will be modified when you select a List of Data Records, in this case a simple List of Spaces. The Icons now showing in Purple provide powerful editing capabilities including:

Filters - Use this Control to restrict the Record List to logical groups
List View - Click here to see the entire list of data records
Create New - Click to show an empty Form and Add a new record
Edit Current - Click to allow Editing of the current highlighted record
Search - Find any data by using the Search Function, use X to clear

NAV BAR DETAILS

Custom Icon - Indoor Finders:

This list of functions is custom configured for the Indoor Finders integration and can be modified by an advanced user to provide quick access to various forms, processes and reports, your system may or may not offer this set of options, however it is a convenient place to add functionality for Users.

The term we use for this menu option is a "Slide Out" and most Nav Bar Icons also have slide out sub menu options.

Nav Bar - Admin Functions

There are four advanced tools available from this Icon:

File Explorer - Easy access to the back-end File System
Link Drawings - The critical task of connecting CAD files to database records
Subscriptions - Automatic email notifications are configured with this tool
Data Import - Advanced data mapping tools to assist with importing information from spreadsheets

Nav Bar - Navigation Editing Functions

There are four very advanced tools available from this Icon:

Dashboards - Create and Modify the various System Dashboards
Dash Sections - Edit a Dashboard's Section Content
Dash Items - Edit a Dashboard's individual Dash Items - Buttons and Images
Nav Bar - Modify the design of the Nav Bar items showing on the left

Drawing Explorer

The Map Pin Icon on the Nav Bar is the Drawing Explorer, a powerful tool to allow viewing and working with CAD drawings without a traditional desktop CAD program.

You will notice there are additional Purple Icons on the Nav Bar that are exclusive to the Drawing Explorer.
