Quick Reference
The following steps are required to condition a Centerstone drawing into an IntelliOffice ready format. After opening a Centerstone drawing in the CAD Editor go to the Layers Manager
Add a new IDN-FLOOR Layer to hold the Floor Interior and Exterior Gross Polylines (we use Magenta as a color to visually confirm these important areas)
Floor Polylines need to be modified from the EC1-AREA Polyline Layer in the drawing file, both Internal and External gross floor areas are required but remove (or move to IDN-SPACE-COMMON) all the areas inside the gross area.
There is a need for both an Internal and Exterior Gross Polyline, (If only one Pline exists, consider using the Offset command to quickly create another Pline)
Isolate and assign these 2 Gross Polylines to the IDN-FLOOR layer.
Layer Name Changes:
EC1-Space Numbers will be renamed to IDN-SPACE-IDENT
EC1-Space Polygons will be renamed to IDN-SPACE
Any spaces that are Polylines but do not have Space Numbers should be moved to the IDN-SPACE-COMMON layer where they will be auto numbered by the system when linked.
Layer Cleanup Process:
Isolate and turn off or delete layers as required
Use Layer Preview, Layer Manager or LayISO to select required layers
For efficient On-Line delivery of CAD Queries and IFS Map Export certain layers should be turned Off prior to saving the file.
Delete all EC1 layers
Space Identifiers:
The Text that identifies the Polylines Area may require modification
Resize and relocate each text ID to fit inside the Space Polyline and be repositioned to lower left corner of each space
Purge the Drawing File to remove unwanted elements
Rename Drawing = Building Code plus a dash and the Floor Code 01 Save As AutoCAD Release 2010 example: BuildingA-01
